Black Swamp Cruiser Club Chapter 06

Black Swamp CC was formed from a band of 16 riders sharing a common bond, riding down the road on 2 wheels enjoying the freedom that comes with riding a motorcycle feeling the wind in your face.  Those riders came from 9 different communities spreading across 2 counties located in the northwest corner of Ohio.

Black Swamp was picked unanimously representing a region and not a town. You see in the early 1800’s this region was inhabited by a marshy area called the Black Swamp. The swamp actually covered 1500 square miles from just north of Van Wert to Toledo, Ohio, on Lake Erie. The majority of our members inhabit the southern part of once was the great Black Swamp.

Black Swamp CC is a family oriented club meaning that generally we don’t stop at establishments that wouldn’t be an environment for children.  We promote our community through events that raise monies for the United Way, Cancer Society, and Church mission works to list a few.  Black Swamp CC accepts all makes and models of motorcycles on the market today. 

Black Swamp CC is part of a larger family of motorcycle enthusiast, Cruiser Club USA.  Linda and Chuck Cottrell and a small group of friends from Fort Wayne, IN organized CCUSA in 1996.  There are 13 chapters in all representing 7 states.  Each year we all come together for a rally hosted by a chapter or by the national committee.  This rally is called the Gathering of the Eagles.  The rally is 3 days of wholesome family fun with bike games, rides, and fellowship.
